Giza Necropolis, Egypt

Giza Necropolis, Egypt

The Pyramids at Giza.

Left to right : The great Pyramid of Khufu(aka Cheops), Pyramid of Khafre, Pyramid of Menkaure and the three smaller pyramids (far right) are subsidiary structures associated with Menkaure’s pyramid.

The Pyramid of Khufu (aka Cheops) (left) is the oldest of the 7 wonders of the ancient world . It was the tallest man made structure for 3,800 years untill the construction of the Eiffel tower in 1889.

It is the only of the ancient 7 wonders standing today, unless you count the single restored column of the temple of Artemis in Ephesus, Turkey.
